In the face of lithium battery electric bicycle fires, what kind of fire extinguishing method is more effective? Today, SUNTEX will take you to do a fire extinguishing experiment.

Experiment 1: Use dry powder fire extinguisher to extinguish fire
The electric bicycle was punctured and caught fire. After the fire entered the fierce burning stage, the rescuers used a cart-type fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire, and the open fire was quickly extinguished. After more than 1 minute, the fire reignited and exploded. The rescuers used dry powder fire extinguishers to extinguish the fire again. After more than 1 minute, the fire reignited and exploded again. During the experiment, the rescuers extinguished the fire 8 times, but they all reignited soon after. The fire lasted for about 20 minutes.
Experiment 2: Use water-based fire extinguishers to extinguish fire.
The electric bicycle was punctured and caught fire. After the fire entered the fierce burning stage, the rescuers used water-based fire extinguishers to extinguish the fire, and the open fire was quickly extinguished. After more than 3 minutes, the fire reignited, and the rescuers used water-based fire extinguishers again to extinguish the fire. During the experiment, the rescuers put out the fire four times, and the fire lasted for about 20 minutes.
Experiment 3: Using a water gun to put out the fire
The electric bicycle caught fire after being punctured. After the fire entered the fierce burning stage, the rescuers used a water gun to put out the fire, and the open fire was quickly extinguished. More than 4 minutes later, the fire rekindled, and the rescuers used a water gun to put out the fire again and continued to cool it. After cooling, the battery continued to emit toxic smoke. The fire lasted for about 18 minutes.
Experiment 4: Using a multifunctional fire blanket to put out the fire
The electric bicycle caught fire after being punctured. After the fire entered the fierce burning stage, two fire rescuers used a multifunctional fire blanket to put out the fire. At the 20th and 40th minutes, the fire rescuers lifted the fire blanket to check, and the electric bicycle was still burning inside.
It can withstand the flame of new energy electric vehicles for up to 60 minutes and can be reused many times. And it has excellent fire retardant, heat-resistant and heat-insulating, close smoke barrier, explosion-proof and anti-explosion properties, which can effectively protect other vehicles or buildings around the fire-proof vehicle and minimize fire losses.
