Silica Fabric: The “Miracle Textile” That Withstands 1200°C
There is a fabric that won’t burn, can be cut, and remains unharmed in a 1200°C inferno — it’s called silica fabric.

How heat-resistant is it?
Silica content as high as 96%, softening point close to 1700°C

Can be used long-term at 1000°C and withstand 1200°C for short periods

Ordinary steel would have melted long ago — this fabric stays intact

Why is it so strong?
Silica fabric is an inorganic refractory fiber, containing almost no organic matter. It not only withstands extreme heat but also maintains high strength, good toughness, and flexibility — it can be cut and sewn, offering excellent processability.

What other advantages does it have?
Low thermal conductivity, excellent heat insulation

Corrosion-resistant, inert to most chemicals

Good electrical insulation properties

Breathable and oil-absorbent, with low thermal shrinkage

Can be composited with other materials

Where is it used?
Welding & cutting protection: Blocks splashing molten metal and sparks

Car fire blankets: Cover fire sources to prevent flame spread

Aerospace, high-temperature industries, fire doors, firefighter blankets, high-temperature pipe wrapping, and more

A soft fabric that can withstand thousand-degree flames. High-silica fabric proves with its performance that technology’s strength is both hidden and dependable.
