Suntex New Energy Vehicle Fire Control Blanket: A Critical Tool for Modern Firefighting

The Suntex New Energy Vehicle (NEV) Fire Control Blanket is specialized firefighting equipment designed for extinguishing fires in new energy vehicles. Its primary functions include isolating the fire source, preventing the ejection of electrolyte, and slowing the diffusion of harmful gases.

Constructed from a primary material of special high-temperature-resistant fabric, the product incorporates tailored splicing techniques that leverage the material’s properties. The seams between fabric sections are joined using ultra-high temperature-resistant materials, ensuring the blanket’s overall resistance to extreme heat and explosion, a key factor contributing to its superior quality. Unlike some competitors’ fire blankets where stitching threads can burn through upon deployment—leading to rupture and compromising firefighter safety—the Suntex blanket maintains its integrity under intense conditions.

This product is suitable for various fire scenarios involving new energy electric vehicles. During an NEV fire, rapidly deploying the blanket over the burning vehicle facilitates quick smoke control and heat insulation. By cutting off the air supply, it helps slow down or contain the fire, preventing its spread and thereby reducing potential harm to surrounding people and property.

Extensive testing on individual battery cells, battery packs, two-wheeled electric vehicles, and electric cars, combined with market needs, led to the development and production of two final versions:

  • Suntex Standard Vehicle Fire Blanket: Offers rapid smoke control and heat insulation to prevent fire spread. Lighter and easier to handle, it is suitable for fuel vehicle fires or the initial stages of new energy vehicle fires. The material provides long-term resistance to 600°C and short-term resistance to 1000°C, maintaining integrity under impact for 10-15 minutes at 1000°C.

  • Suntex High-Performance Vehicle Fire Blanket: Provides rapid smoke control and heat insulation with exceptional fire resistance. It can withstand flames for 40-60 minutes and offers brief resistance to temperatures up to 1200°C, making it more suitable for various extreme fire situations involving lithium batteries in new energy vehicles.

Usage Instructions for Suntex Vehicle Fire Blanket:

  1. Remove the fire blanket from its packaging and place it on a flat surface.

  2. Untie the straps securing the blanket and unroll it in the direction it was folded.

  3. Two persons, positioned on either side, should pull the rings at the front end of the blanket and swiftly cover the burning object.

  4. Adjust the blanket’s position until it completely covers the burning object, ensuring it is fully isolated from the air.

  5. Keep the blanket in place until the burned object has completely cooled down.

The Suntex Vehicle Fire Blanket finds extensive application beyond just new energy vehicles and can be used for ordinary fires involving:

  • Various cars and motorcycles

  • Maritime shipping and ferry transport

  • Parking lots

  • Residential electric vehicle parking areas

  • Electric vehicle charging stations

  • Gas stations

  • Various other fire protection and prevention sectors
