What are smoke curtains and fire curtains and How Do They Work?
FIRE CURTAIN OR SMOKE CURTAIN?
In public buildings, fire safety considerations are of high importance. Suntex manufactures a range of high temperature and fire resistance fabric for such areas to protect human safety and expensive assets.

Be it a smoke or fire curtain, there are roll up or frame up systems available and it hidden at some point of the buildings that are usually not prominently seen.
These system can either be hand operated or link to fire alarm and will be activated upon alarm being triggered.

When fire broke up, fire shutter/curtain will automatically lower and isolate the fire zone, to control the spread of fire and reduce losses. fiber glass made fire shutter is the first choice of active fire barrier system. it have these characteristics: good fire performance, simple installation and maintenance. As a partner for system suppliers of intelligent fire-prevention concepts, we manufacture coated fiberglass fabrics, steel reinforced glass fabric in fire doors and smoke curtains which can withstand the fire up to 180 minutes.

Like smoke curtain, Fire can’t be ignored or underestimated even though it may be small from start. Fire will tend to spread and evolve which result in unimaginable consequences. When the bad master are presence and spreading in an enclose environment, it tend to create more smoke which lower down visibilities as well as affecting human breathing system. In addition, the radiant heat although may not be as catastrophic as those in oil and gas plant but it is damaging enough to create human causalities with different degrees of burn.
Suntex Composite Factory View
As such, Suntex is able to provide a range of fire and high temperature resistant fabrics which can be used to compartmentalize areas thus buy time for fire rescue and evacuation.
