What is fabric expansion joints?

Fabric Expansion Joints are non-metallic, highly flexible connections that provide stress relief for piping and ducting systems by absorbing thermal growth and shock, isolating mechanical vibration, and allowing for misalignment. They provide significant flexibility when installed in large ducting and piping systems. Fabric joints can be manufactured from a variety of special woven, coated or laminated fabric materials. They offer extreme flexibility and can absorb movements simultaneously from several directions. Fabric joints are easily customized and require little space. They are also easy to transport and install. SUNTEX fabric expansion joints offer excellent operational performance and reliability.

High Strength Silicone Fiberglass Fabric For Fabric Expansion Joint

This red silicone fiberglass fabric is coated with high quality silicone on both sides of the alkali-free fiberglass cloth. This silicone fiberglass cloth is a multi-purpose fireproof and high temperature resistant cloth. The base fabric it uses is a high strength, corrosion resistant, and high temperature resistant glass fiber cloth. Combined with our professional coating process and high-quality coating, our silicone fiberglass cloth has many excellent characteristics, such as high strength, corrosion resistance, weatherproof, Waterproof, High Temperature Resistance. So it is very suitable for making fabric expansion joint. Its characteristics perfectly meet the requirements of making fabric expansion joint. Fabric expansion joints perform a function of compensating for duct misalignment and duct thermal growth typically in power plants and other ducting systems, so it is often used in ducts which carry hot gases. As the ducting moves, the fabric belt deforms. our fabric material will do this without tearing or leaking while sometimes being exposed to high temperatures and corrosive media.
