What is Vermiculite Coated Fiberglass Cloth?

The vermiculite-coated glass fiber cloth is mainly composed of alkali-free glass fiber and vermiculite, in which glass fiber is the base material and vermiculite is the coating material. Vermiculite is a natural mineral. The inorganic coating makes the composite glass fiber cloth resistant to high temperatures up to 1000C in a short time, and the continuous temperature resistance is increased to 800C.

In the production process, the vermiculite suspension is uniformly coated on the glass fiber products, and then dried in the subsequent process, and the vermiculite is deposited on the wave glass fiber products, so as to obtain coated vermiculite glass with different thicknesses and specifications. fiber products. At the same time, the glass fiber cloth has stronger fire-breakdown resistance and friction resistance and has good machining performance. Vermiculite-coated fiberglass cloth is widely used in other fields.

The vermiculite is evenly coated on the glass fiber cloth to form a protective film on the surface of the glass fiber fabric. Increase the operating temperature to 800C. At the same time, the glass fiber cloth has better friction resistance, machining performance, and good chemical resistance. Vermiculite coated cloth is also widely used in high-temperature filtration, high-temperature sealing, welding protection, and other fields.
